- Serial Number: 153-106292
- Date Acquired: May 22, 2010
- Purchase Price: $15
- Hook Type: Full Rotary
- Needle: Standard
- Manual: yes
- Attachments: yes
- Bobbin Size: Extra large (specific TBD)
- Extra Bobbins: yes
- Cabinet Style: ? need info
Notes:
5/27/10 – Machine was bone dry. No oil or grease anywhere! Greased and oiled parts below. Still need to look inside the top. Tension is good. Bobbin, race and hook area needed lots of attention. The tension from the bobbin was too tight probably due to the lack of oil in and around the hook. I adjusted it slightly and she sews perfect.

Cool! I found your blog on a Google search about the Domestic model 153 I bought at a garage sale this morning.
) I’m anxious to learn about it. Haven’t even tried turning it on yet but they said it worked. It came with a nifty buttonholer thingie in a beautiful green marble plastic case.
Mine’s in a wooden cabinet with a knee lever rather than a foot pedal.
If you get in a scanning mood, would you please scan the manual? Mine has none.
Wonderful! I was hopping my blogging would eventually help others. I read so many other blogs and resources online I feel I needed to share my knowledge as well.
